Too often, I meet children and young people who are desperately lacking in confidence, struggling to engage in hobbies and out-of-school activities and feeling too afraid to contribute their thoughts, feelings and ideas at school. It doesn’t have to be this way.

As a musician and theatre producer, I have a passion for the arts and the way in which they can enrich the lives of young people like you. Sadly, opportunities to fully experience the arts in schools are few and far between and often tokenistic. We have an outdated education system designed to give you a specific set of skills for the an industrial era that no longer exists. This was a source of frustration for me as a Primary teacher and led me to leave the profession and focus on developing a new way of educating the next generation. I gained an MSc in Educational Neuroscience from UCL IOE and joined the Big Education 'Leadership Adventure' designed and delivered by Peter Hyman and Liz Robinson. 

My philosophy is simple; instead of a narrow curriculum, young people need a holistic education that nurtures them as individuals and helps them develop 21st Century skills including confidence, creativity and communication. Where better to do that than in the arts? My Creative Academy is designed to do exactly that - deliver exceptional creative arts sessions that are both cultural and enriching, whilst developing those transformational transferable skills in all young people who participate.
